Francesca Gilbank will be attending Yorkshire Cosplay Con
My name is Francesca, I'm 19 years old and I come from Normanton, West Yorkshire. I've been a Doctor Who fan since I was nine years old and I have been Cosplaying as Amy Pond from November 2011.
I'm a big convention attendee as I have been going to them up and down the country since I was around ten years old and I began finally cosplaying after seeing all these people that dress up and act like the real characters every year and as I grew up and carried on attending the more I wanted that to be me, I wanted to make people believe that I was their favourite character.
I love meeting new people and the buzz that I get from Cosplaying is when I get recognised as Amy Pond, it instantly makes me smile and I feel a lot more confident in what I am doing. I love creating memories and magical moments for children and making them happy, that means the absolute world to me as it's something I've dreamed of doing since I was a child myself.
