Ashgate Hospice
Ashgate Hospice is an independent registered charity covering North Derbyshire that provides specialist palliative care to terminally ill adults and their families, maintaining best quality of life throughout illness. All services are provided free of charge. £6 million must be raised annually from voluntary giving.
This year we have chosen to raise money for Ashgate Hospice working with the superheroes who have been raising money for them since their founder Paul Brady's father was taken Ill and looked after by the amazing people at Ashgate Hospice.
We have set our first target at £100 and if we can achieve this amount Yorkshire Cosplay Con's Event Organiser Jonathan Higson and The Founder of Superheroes for Hire Paul Brady will get their legs waxed live on stage at Yorkshire Cosplay Con 2016. As well as these two, several others have volunteered to get their legs waxed for this fantastic cause. They are Youtuber Jack 'SlowSniper' Storey, YCC Host Dennis Montoya, Cosplayers John Hall from Team Arrow UK and Cosplayer Ryan Cooper as seen on ITV's This Morning.
If we reach the first target we will be setting a second target, and if we get the second amount we will be getting our legs waxed dressed as Disney Princesses.
As well as our targets we are also giving our attendees the opportunity to get more involved on stage as anyone that donates £10 or more will be able to come to the stage and give one of the volunteers of their choosing a pie in the face. Also anyone one that donate £50 or more will receive a weekend pass for Yorkshire Cosplay Con 2016.
The leg waxing event will take place at Yorkshire Cosplay Con 2016 on Sunday 12th of June as part of the stage line up.
